A bit about me

I’m Jane, a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer & ultra runner who at 52 loves embracing FUN (impromptu life dance break anyone?  running & singing along the trails local to me) and ADVENTURE.  My latest adventure is making the leap from corporate business life to building my own personal training business so I can share what I am PASSIONATE about which is all the goodness and growth that comes with getting your body (and mind) STRONGER – those small steps that add up to big changes over time.

 

I used to avoid strength training (and the gym) because I never really knew what I was doing, I saw exercise as a way to be smaller never anything else so it was always a chore...something I felt I had to do and so I never loved it, was never consistent and never really understood how others could be so passionate about it.  During lockdown I started doing online strength classes with a female trainer that made me truly appreciated how BRILLIANT strength training can be, moving my body through exercise was such a powerful tool for the mind and this gave me consistency – result being I became stronger physically than I had ever been before with a whole new passion for just how amazing our bodies are which gave me the courage to try things outside my comfort zone & go back to school to qualify as a personal trainer.

 

Strength work is a non-negotiable part of my week especially since hitting peri/menopause for all the positives that it brings, I LOVE my body being stronger & I love the confidence that I have found through this journey.  I am now training for longevity – I want to be that badass older woman in the gym & on the trails for many many years to come! 

 

As women we are all so much stronger than we think we are & that is a huge part of the reason I retrained as a PT…we are all capable of amazing things especially when we have the right people around us lifting us up.
